🍂📚 October at the Tewksbury Library
The hills around Oldwick are turning, the mornings have an edge to them, and the light goes early now — which is, as it happens, excellent reading weather. Outdoor storytime has its last few Thursdays under the trees before it comes inside for the season, and with Halloween at the end of the month there is every excuse to take home something with a ghost in it. The building is due to close in late November or early December for the restoration, so this is a good month to fill a bag with books — and to check that you have a physical library card in your wallet, which will let you borrow from other Hunterdon County libraries while we are closed. Stop in, take your time, and let the season do what it does best. 🍁📖
Library Restoration Underway
Restoration of our 217-year-old library building is under way. The work will address serious deficiencies in the building’s support structure, restore the historic foyer and first floor library room, improve electrical, mechanical and computer systems, and regrade the property to protect the foundation. Once construction begins the library will close for four to six months, with limited service continuing just down the street.
